If you mean from Scotland to Ireland or Ireland to Scotland the answer is [caps for emphasis only] NO. There wasn't any need, as they were one and the same. Common folk who were able to travel either way, did so on the cattle boats as they were far cheaper than merchant ships or ferries. The same goes for travel between England, Wales and Ireland.
