Hoping to locate the birth record of Rodolphus Read (Reed, Reade etc), this is a "brickwall" for me.    Info to date says Rodolphus Reed was born May 1774, or 1773, research suggests it may have been in Worcester County MA ~ maybe Sutton or one of the nearby towns. His father was Josiah Reed, mother seems to have been Hannah.......also no marriage has yet been found for Josiah Reed and Hannah but Rodolphus was their eldest child.   The information in the book the Reed Family in Europe and America by Jacob Whittemore Reed is not correct, Rodolphus Reed is not the son of Josiah Reed and Elizabeth (Taylor)  who lived at Douglas MA.    Thanks, really appreciate help, Janice
