Hi Betty, Thank you for sending this to the list. My great aunt started working for the telephone company at the age of 14 in 1906 when her father died. She work as a general worker in the beginning and then trained to be a telephone operator which happened by 1910. She then was the person responsible for writing the training manual for all telephone operators. She remained with the phone company until she retired in 1957 with over 50 years working for them.
