Marita, Believe you have/know all the info out there at this time on the marriage of John and Abigail Ford Strong. I don't believe anyone has found an actual marriage record for them. Probably the most recent and best source out there is: Robert Charles Anderson, The Great Migration Begins, Immigrants to New England 1620-1633, Vol. I (Boston: NEHGS, 1995), p. 689, under the Thomas FORD section. "ABIGAIL, bp Bridport 8 October 1619 [TAG 16:41]; m. by about 1637 as his second wife John Strong [Waterman Gen 640-43]." Anderson says in the Bibliographic Note that good sources for this family of FORDs are Mary Holman's work which is referred to as Stevens-Miller, 1:354-56 and the "English records for Thomas Ford was published by Jacobus and Torrey in 1939 [TAG 16:41-43]". Do note that 8 Oct 1619 is Abigail's date of baptism and no proof her DOB. I, myself, have researched Holman's Stevens-Miller: Holman, Mary Lovering, F.A.S.G., Ancestry of Colonel John Harrington Stevens and his wife Frances Helen Miller (Concord, NH: Winifred Lovering Holman, 1948). She says about their marriage: pp 349 & 356: "about 1635 or 1636".
