Hello, I know the "history of Cambridge" by Paige is on-line. I think that is the smaller book, and there is a larger book (2 vol. book?). But, I did another search at Google / Books and was reminded of the paper about the "250th anniversity of Cambridge." In this on-line book, there is a long poem about "Naming of Cambridge" and a quick look shows many surnames mentioned. (It starts on p. 86.) http://books.google.com/books?id=FgIlAAAAMAAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=Cambridge+Massachusetts#PPA86,M1 It starts out mentioning "Tom Chisholm's Tavern." I was just reminded that the "Vital Records of Cambridge" go back to the 1600's. http://books.google.com/books?id=lc8UAAAAYAAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=Cambridge+Massachusetts#PPA12,M1 Another book on-line shows that a John GIBSON was in Cambridge in 1630's: http://books.google.com/books?id=EihMAAAAMAAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=Cambridge+Massachusetts&lr=#PPP17,M1 Oh, here is the other "history of Cambridge," this one by Eliot. I see that Ch. II is called, "Founders," and a quick look shows many surnames: http://books.google.com/books?id=siPZKHPQ1rcC&printsec=frontcover&dq=Cambridge+Massachusetts&lr=#PPA16,M1 Just an FYI for you.
