Archives document that may be of interest to HOWARDs Ed in Scotland MAvol 168 p135 Boston Jan 8 1778 I Josiah Howard of Upton of lawful age doth testify and say that John Flint a soldier in the 71st Regiment who has paid him for his trouble and further saith that the Committee of Upton met at the house where the prisoners were stationed, the night before they came away and that one of the Committee was about to come down with him, but altered his mind and so I Josiah Howard came with him, and that we went to Lt Collo. Campbell but I did not hear what Past, but said Flint told me he sent for money. Josiah Hayward I have sent said Flint to Mr Otis's? and wait the order of the Honble Board what to do with them.
