The supporting proof for a Province of Nova Scotia Application For Registration Of Birth is a copy of Certificate of Baptism for Mary Argellis (Ardellas) Ward, sic. The Baptism Certificate for the Diocese of Nova Scotia, dated December 11th, 1934 states the child's name as "Mary Argellis (Ardellas) Ward". Date of birth is October 1863 and a date of Baptism is "Jan. 12. /64". Her parents are James Edward and Catherine Amelia Ward. James Edward additionally described as a shoemaker and his abode is Beech Hill. The particulars of the Baptism Certificate are a true extract from the "Registry of Baptisms kept in Wolfville, N.S. The Baptism Certificate witnessed and signed on December 11, 1934 by Geo. R. Ernest, Rectn. of H. John's, Wolfville, N.S. The signature of applicant for this birth registration document is Mary Ardellas Lincoln and her hand written residense is interpreted here as being Union Street, Duxbury, Massachusetts on December 3,1934.
