Hi again, I just went back to the archives of the FROST Message Board at www.genforum.com and found a lot of good information. I just posted a "brief summary" of what I found, and I'd like to copy/paste my posting here - for your comments. See below. I don't have time this morning to go check the archives of the FROST List and Board here to see if it pretty much agrees with this. Betty (near Lowell, MA) FYI from www.genforum.com Hi again. I just did a search on this Board for "Thomasine" and found a lot of information. And was glad to see it. I'd like to post a brief summary of 2 postings, in regards to the earliest FROST ancestors known: (l) John FROST (Rev.), b1539/40 in Stanistead, Sudbury, Suffolk, England married Ellen (unknown) and then Ann SCOTT. John and Ann had 14? children, including son, Edward, b1560/61. This son, Edward, married, Mary (unknown) and then Thomasine BELGRAVE in 1585. They had a daughter, Thomasine FROST, b1600, and she was the one who married the patriarch, Edmund RICE. (my ancestors) (2) James FROST (Rev.) in Suffolk, England (born maybe 1570's?). Then, Edmund FROST, b1593, Ipswich, Essex, Suffolk, England, died in Cambridge, MA. In 1585 he married Thomasina (unknown) (2 more wives). (This page is confusing.) I think it says this Edmund FROST married in Cambridge, MA, to Thomasine / Thomasina CLENCH (~1630). Edmund and Thomasine FROST had 8 children, including Ephraim who married Hepzabah PRATT. (my ancestors) SO, we have 2 FROST families in County Suffolk, England. And, we have an Edward FROST (son of Rev. John), b1560/61. And, then we have Edmund FROST, b1593 (son of Rev. James). So the 2 ancestors known are Rev. John FROST, born ~1540 and the Rev. James FROST, born maybe 1570's. IF researchers went back to find Rev. James' father, would he be related to Rev. John? That's all I can concentrate on this morning. (Additional note: As I said before, a descendant of Edmund RICE and Thomasine FROST was my gr-gr-grandfather, Charles RICE, b1850 Maine. Charles came down to MA ~1870 and married to Adelaide Crosby HUTCHINSON. Adelaide was a descendant of Ephraim FROST and Hepzabah PRATT. So, for the moment, I'm not finding a connection between the 2 FROST families on my family-tree. BUT, there could be a connection ~1550 in Co. Suffolk, England.)
