    1. [GENMASSACHUSETTS] 3 HANNAH Brothers in 1930
    2. Betty
    3. Hi again, I'd like to mention that my ancestors' family were: William and Eliza (RITCHIE) HANNAH, who both died in the 1890's in Everett. (Buried in Malden) Daughter, Mary Ann, born Scotland, died as toddler ~1858. (Either on ship, on arrival, or in Billerica where they first lived in 1860.) Daughter, Elizabeth Barbara, born Scotland, married in MA to William KERR, and they lived in Everett and Malden, etc. Elizabeth died in Somerville in 1937. William died in Everett in 1905. Son, William, born in MA ~1858, married Annie, and they lived later in Harvard, MA. Son, John, born in MA ~1860, married Annie, and lived in Malden and Everett, I believe. Daughter, Isabella, born in MA ~1863, died in 1882 at Age 20. Son, George, born in MA ~1870?, never married. He lived in the Somerville area, and might have died at the "Old Soldiers Home" in Chelsea. (I haven't checked the "WW I draft records" for the sons, yet.) The only members of the family who would have been alive in 1930 were the mother, Mrs. Elizabeth KERR, and her 3 sons. (I'll have to find out when George died.) This is information I can find on the 3 sons: HANNAH, JOHN (1920 U.S. Census) MASSACHUSETTS , MIDDLESEX, 4-WD EVERETT Age: 59, Male, Race: WHITE, Born: MA Series: T625 Roll: 710 Page: 64 HANNA, GEORGE A (1920 U.S. Census) MASSACHUSETTS , MIDDLESEX, 1-WD SOMERVILLE Age: 48, Male, Race: WHITE, Born: MA Series: T625 Roll: 717 Page: 1 (a boarder in someone's home, possibly a boarding house) HANNAH, WILLIAM (1920 U.S. Census) MASSACHUSETTS , WORCESTER, HARVARD Age: 60, Male, Race: WHITE, Born: MA Series: T625 Roll: 746 Page: 109 (NOTE BOTH SPELLINGS ARE SHOWED IN RECORDS - HANNAH, HANNA) In 1920, the mother, Mrs. KERR, was living in Medford. She had her oldest daughter (unmarried), and her youngest daughter living with her. This is where they were living when her youngest son - met "the girl next door." (the grandmother I've written about). (They married on Christmas Eve, 1911.) KERR, ELIZABETH (1920 U.S. Census) MASSACHUSETTS , MIDDLESEX, 3-WD MEDFORD Age: 62, Female, Race: WHITE, Born: SCOT Series: T625 Roll: 714 Page: 124 At some point, Mrs. KERR moved to Somerville, as that is where she died. Or, she could have died in Somerville Hospital. Her unmarried daughter, Louise KERR, last lived in Lexington, and lived a very long life. Her youngest daughter became Mrs. Ruby PHELPS, and she last lived in Lexington, and also lived a very long life. Perhaps finding Louise KERR in 1930 would show where she and her mother lived at that time. Thank you for whatever information you can find. Betty (near Lowell, MA) (I believe there is information on the families and wives of William and John in the archives of the Lists, from past years.) FYI: While I'm at it, I just checked some of the "draft records" and I think I found George A. HANNA signing up in Middlesex Co., but I can't look at that record. (I'm not finding John and William in the Index. I don't know if they had middle names. Both born ~1860 MA.) http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~rwguide/WWIdraft.html (I need to get to Somerville City Hall to look for "death records" for Mrs. KERR, and for her husband's sister, Mrs. Mary McINNES.)
