Those include the Town Clerk's birth, marriage and death records, church and gravestone records, the direct tax of 1798, the 1790 Federal Census, a number of private records such as Bibles, and, apparently, some information from the Greenfield Gazette and Courier newspaper. I do not find any Reed/Read heads of household in Montague in the 1800 and 1810 Federal censuses. In short, in the records most likely to contain him, he is not to be found in the town of Montague.
