Hello, In yesterday's "The Lowell Sun" (MA), there is an article, entitled "Where is Lowell Civil War hero buried?" http://www.lowellsun.com/ci_11145717?IADID=Search-www.lowellsun.com-www.lowellsun.com www.lowellsun.com The subheading is: Quest of two local history buffs may never unearth the answer. The article starts out: More than 130 years fater David H. Goodhue's death, two men set out to find this Civil War soldier from Lowell. ......"The Sun" arranged to have them compare stories over the phone. Each has evidence that Union Pvt. Goodhue, a prisoner of war when he died on June 30, 1863, is buried in one of these far-off Southern places. .... Under one of the pictures on another page, it says: A mass trench of graves near a former Confederate prison camp in Salisbury, N.C., where some evidence suggests David H. Goodhue may be buried. Just an FYI for you. Betty (near Lowell, MA)
