    3. Hi Emily, The NEHGS has a marriage record (vol. 549, pg 52) for John NEIL -- in Boston, on 16 March 1904. It says he married Mabel PARSON (and it notes, under her name, "Adopted" - I will send you the image, off-list, as I've never seen this before). It says it was the first marriage for both!? She was 26 and a bookkeeper; he was 31 and a painter. He resided at 662 Tremont St., she at 81 Appleton St. He was born in England to John NEIL and Helen BLACK; she was born in No. Ashford, CT -- and that her parents were Edward DRAPER and Addie BABBITT. They had a child, John Henry NEIL on 10 May 1909 (Vol 585, pg 109), in Boston, at 54 Montgomery St. When the birth was registered, the parents were listed as John NEIL and Mabel DRAPER. Then, when I searched under Walter PARSONS, I found this (Vol 435, pg 492): Walter T. PARSONS (age 23, of Spencer, MA) married Mabel A. DRAPER (age 16, also of Spencer) on 23 Dec. 1893 in Worcester. He was a clerk born in Penn. (to Truman PARSONS and Laura DAVIS); she was born in Conn. (to Edward DRAPER and Abbie P. BABBITT). I hope this is helpful to you!
