If the LDS record extraction program had found a town record, one of those entries would say "Extracted birth or christening record for the locality listed in the record" as some entries do for the Abijah Reed born in Abington in 1776. The town's vital records have been published - Thomas W. Baldwin, "Vital Records of Uxbridge Massachusetts, to the Year 1850" (Boston: 1916). Neither birth is in that volume, and so is not in the NEHGS vital records database, which was created from the published VR volumes for the towns and cities. Dale H.
