Hi again, I just changed the search term to "W. K. LEWIS, Boston" and found the brothers in a "Boston Directory" on-line. I think this Directory is from 1857, and the initials of the brothers are mentioned. And, I think it says the home is in Roxbury. http://books.google.com/books?id=nYIqAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA215&lpg=PA215&dq=%22W.+K.+Lewis,+MA%22&source=bl&ots=kc2FIQfAcX&sig=JB4dbd4UOa4p2me90b8xKZOqcJA&hl=en&ei=3Fm2TsbOMOPL0QGl0pjSBw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=2&ved=0CCUQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q&f=false It mentions it was a .pickle. company on Broadway. I just noticed the brothers are mentioned separately, Edwin, Charles, and George. With that new information, I was able to find Edwin: LEWIS, EDWIN J (1860 U.S. Census) MASSACHUSETTS , NORFOLK, 5-WD ROXBURY Age: 40, Male, Race: WHITE, Born: MA Series: M653 Roll: 517 Page: 618 It seems that the brothers were definitely into "pickles." I wonder when they switched to "baked beans." LEWIS, EDWIN J (1880 U.S. Census) MASSACHUSETTS , SUFFOLK, BOSTON; 24-WD Age: 60, Race: WHITE, Born: MA Series: T9 Roll: 561 Page: 124 Just an FYI for you. Betty (near Lowell, MA)
