    1. Re: [GENMASSACHUSETTS] 1930 census look up please
    2. Hello again, and thanks for all your help, unfortunately, the info that I have been sent isn't the correct person. I spoke with the elderly man again, his father did have a brother named Nicholas, I found them together in the 1920 census, in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. His real name was Arghelios, and variations of that, finally settling on Jerry, I know it's a stretch. Anyway, he was married in 1925, to a woman named Katherine Diamond, also from Greece. I found her name listed as Kalliopi Diamantopoulou in the Ellis Island records. So by 1930 they should be somewhere in Massachusetts, and possibly have at least one child. Thanks you again, Barbara ps, the person soliciting did contact me off list, but I have never had this experience before. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Janet Lyman" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, November 10, 2011 10:49:59 AM Subject: RE: [GENMASSACHUSETTS] 1930 census look up please Barbara, Do you know the approximate year he was born? Also if he had a brother Nicolas? I didn't know this list allowed people to solicit for money? All the other lists I am on, do these look ups to help, not profit from it. What gives? Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] To: "Massachusetts" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, November 9, 2011 2:45:33 PM Subject: [GENMASSACHUSETTS] 1930 census look up please can sks look up in the 1930 census, a Voutselas? His son said his name was Jerry, and that is the name I find in the SS death index, but I doubt he was called Jerry when he came from Greece. I did find an ADIS VOUTSELAS in 1920 in Boston. I know he was a shoe polisher, because his son (who is in his 80's now) told me that he started a shoe shine business when he came to Boston. I also cant' find him in Ellis Island records, but can't find any free records for Boston passengers. Does anyone know where I can look for that? I would love to be able to give this elderly person a copy of his father's immigration records, even if it's just the ships passenger list.
