I don't want to offer details, but my parents married just as WW II was ending, and the last place my father was stationed was in Missouri. They honeymooned in NJ and then lived in Missouri. They got pregnant on the honeymoon, and, when the time came, my parents got on an old Army "prop plane" and flew up to Boston. So, I was born here. But, a month or so later, my mother got back on an old Army "prop lane" and flew back to Missouri - with me in a basket. This situation probably happened many times during the many wars are country has had.
