Hello,   The  "Greater Lowell Genealogy Club" just sent out a notice that there will be a set of  genealogy lectures at the Pollard Library in Lowell on March 3.     They are free,  and they look like they will be interesting lectures.   http://www.pollardml.org/   The event hasn't been posted on the Library's on-line Calendar page, yet.   It also hasn't been mentioned on the Club's web site, yet.    But there is other information to be seen there.   http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~maglgc/   The Club meetings are usually held on Saturdays.       Betty          (near Lowell, MA)     FYI:   The .Chelmsford Genealogy Club.  meetings on the first Tuesday night of each month.      For over 5 years,  I thought it would be nice if a Genealogy Club in Greater Lowell held their meetings on a weekday morning !   I've never taken the initiative to get a first meeting started up,  but maybe I'll get motivated  - this year !    One thought is that it would be called,    "Genealogy in the Morning."     Or,  Genealogy in the Morning, Billerica and Chelmsford   (GMBC).     And, the meetings could be held alternatively at the Billerica Senior Center and the Chelmsford Senior Center.       Maybe I'll write to them and the respective libraries this month with my idea.
