I just did a quick check of census records, and there were 21 people with that surname in MA in 1920. They were in several different counties, but half of them were in Worcester County. I can check before that, but I cannot check 1930. But, as someone said, there is a great deal of information at www.familysearch.org One additional suggestion is to go there and click on "Go to Previous Site" and then click on "Advanced Search." That is where you can search for individual pieces of information.
