Just found out that she said she was born in Saratoga County in the copy of 1855 NY State Census I have. Searching that site now. Only birth info I have for children (5) is from Quaker records. I have death info also from SOF records but parents info not listed. Lots of places to still check in free sites. Have spent a lot of money getting Vital Records books for towns in Massachusetts, since that is where Rufus is from and I assumed that Ruth was from there also. Same daughter in 1880 US Census said mother and father were both born in Massachusetts - but not able to get statewide index for births to look at dob match.
