I am searching for records on John D Callahan or Callaghan born in Ireland in 1843. He married Mary Ellen Roe (born in Amesbury) and had 4 children, Frances (nicknamed Fannie), John Henry, James Daniel and Ellen (nicknamed Nellie). I know he lived in Merrimac. I really want to find out when he came to the States, how, and who his parents and or siblings were! I suspect he came from County Cork, but there is no solid evidence.
