Thank you for the look-ups and for the information. I can add a few FYI's: Father PIMENTEL (sp?) was the priest at the Portuguese church in Cambridge, St. Anthony's. And, Joseph PACHECO's wife was seen with 2 names in different records, Jacintha de JESUS and Jacintha COSTA. The people on the Azores List told me that was common. And, on a marriage record I looked at, Elsie had given her surname as MORRIS (Amer. version), and the same for her parents who she listed as Frank and Phoebe MORRIS. Census records, etc., listed her mother as Philomina MOURA. And, probably that surname has several variations. "Tony" and Elsie PACHECO lived in East Cambridge. Yes, it was another researcher several years ago who found the PACHICO spelling. I don't remember whether I found him in 1910. I'll have to pull out my folder. For others, I found out this morning that the Azores "Group" is at www.google.com That's all I'll write for now. Oh, Tony might have been killed in 1929; I'll have to check my notes. There were 4 other men in the 1920-version car with him when it crashed into a street-car. They were all from Cambridge so they were probably all working in Taunton or Raynham at the time. I've mentioned this on the Boards/Lists before. Betty (near Lowell, MA) P.S. Also for others, don't forget to check out the archives of the Azores List for your surnames. www.rootsweb.com Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
