How do you know that John's father's name is Albert? I looked through birth records for Boston for 1848 and I don't see a birth for a John with a father named Albert. Unfortunately in 1848 much of Boston was still separated into several smaller towns that folks also referred to as Boston. For example, Charlestown MA has been a part of Boston since 1878. So in 1848 it was still it's own town. I will do some more poking, but anything you can add in regards to those two questions would be helpful.
