Greetings, I apologize for the intrusion but I'm wondering if someone on the list might have one or more of the Germans to America CDs and be willing to do a look-up on my behalf. I'm trying to determine the town of origin for a pair of 3rd great-grandparents Carl (or Charles) Becker and Marie Eva Beier (d/o Joseph Beier and Eva Jaeger). Both were born in Baden about 1825 and probably emigrated to the US in the earlier 1850s; they resided in Providence, Rhode Island and later Attleborough, Mass. None of the records I've searched (census, birth [for their children], death, cemetery) indicate where in Baden they came from and without this information finding their ancestors is next to impossible. I have no idea what port they left from in Germany and can only assume that they arrived in one of the New England ports. Thanks for any help you might be able to provide. Best regards, Kenneth
