Hi Faye -- I found the marriage record for William F. QUINN in Andover on Christmas Day, 1884. [NEHGS vol 352, pg 193] He was age 24 and a metal polisher, born in Ireland to Henry and Annie (MELIA); his bride was Annie COYLE -- age 25 and an operative, born in Andover to John and Annie (CAFFERY). It was the first marriage for both, and it took place at St. Augustine's Church (by Rev. Maurice J. Murphy). I looked for death records in MA (of either Henry or Annie) and found nothing. In my 10 yrs of researching my family, I have found that rarely are the immigration yrs given on later censuses accurate! Did it say he was a naturalized citizen in the censuses? I obtained further info. on my great-grandfather via his naturalization papers... I also have a couple of unsolved immigration issues -- 1 young lady who would've arrived as a young girl, no trace of her parents here, and no idea who she came with! Still working on that one...but need access to Boston passenger lists... Have you looked for his arrival? Hope this is helpful! Thanks for the lookup Kim Henry and Annie seem quite elusive - and maybe I am wrong to think that they came with their young son.. William appears in the 1900 census but not prior to that - we know he was hear earlier as he married in 1884, as you cited. I suppose they could have sent him with someone else.. We did luck into his wife's Ann Caffrey, family - she the daughter of Owen and Anne(Gibney)Caffrey so I will continue to try other ways of finding more about this generation! I appreciate all the info - Again thanks faye -----Original Message----- From: Kim Gawlak [mailto:kimdowns@optonline.net] Sent: Saturday, January 03, 2009 9:38 PM To: faye rees Cc: genmassachusetts@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [GENMASSACHUSETTS] Look Up Request Henry and Ann (Melia) QUINN Hi Faye -- I found the marriage record for William F.
