    3. Hello, I tried to find some web sites which tell about the "historic sites" in Concord, and, when I Googled, I found this newspaper page from January. It talks about the BARRETT Farm: http://www.wickedlocal.com/concord/archive/x1943021720/Senate-passes-bill-to-add-Barretts-Farm-to-Minuteman-Park During the past winter, I think I saw an episode on "History Detectives" which talked about a "cannon" at a farm in Concord. Was that about the Barrett Farm? Here is the web site for the "Minute Man National Historic Park" http://www.nps.gov/mima/ http://www.nps.gov/mima/planyourvisit/placestogo.htm http://www.nps.gov/mima/planyourvisit/events.htm I Googled "Concord, Massachusetts" and found these sites: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concord,_Massachusetts http://www.concordma.gov/Pages/index http://www.newenglandtravelplanner.com/go/ma/boston_west/concord/ http://www.concordma.com/ Etc. IF you live out of state, don't forget that you, or your children, can read the several books written by Thoreau. One is something like "A Week Along the Concord and Merrimack Rivers.." And this is another: http://books.google.com/books?id=RbpFzu9G3BsC&dq=%22Concord,+Massachusetts%22&printsec=frontcover&source=bl&ots=_vEAzbZzWd&sig=VxTlxlrnFYmJ5JvyHZEcX8izPQo&hl=en&ei=csobSom0F8yDtgfolrDbDA&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=8 And don't forget about "Walden Pond" http://www.mass.gov/dcr/parks/walden/ Just an FYI for you. Betty (near Lowell, MA)
