When I looked up the MA record (New Bedford Library MA rolls) for the birth of John CROWLEY b.July 1843. His birth was on volume 4/page 55 (state records). Unfortunately, on that page, the right half of the page is missing on the roll. Would anyone else have this record via another source? John CROWLEY/CROWLY male 7/4/1843 Fall River, MA There was a SECOND John CROWLEY b. at a similar date. I believe this other John was the son of John CROWLEY. I think he was born in April of 1843. "My" John CROWLEY (top record) is, I believe, the son of Daniel CROWLEY/CROWLY. His record does show up in an IGI record. I believe Fall River was sometimes part of RI and sometimes part of MA, so his record may be in RI as well. Eventually, he took on the middle name "O".
