It's unlikely that the daughter's marriage, if there was one, would be available online, since she was born in 1903 and the Archives are only available through 1920. And 1916 - 1920 are not yet indexed, they can only be browsed. I did find Wallace Ham listed in both the 1903 Boston (where he worked) and Brookline (where he lived) directories, but then he too disappeared. We know he died in 1908, and died in Prison. I was giving benefit of doubt, but perhaps he was a prisoner. I can't get access the early Boston Globes without visiting my library, which I can't do for several days. You might want to post a new request for someone to search for Wallace Ham in the Globe with a date range of 1903 - 1908. I do know that individuals that subscribe to the paper can access the archives from home. Good luck. John Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I am looking for information regarding and ancestor who lived in the district of Maine while it was still part of Massachusetts. Has anyone had any experience with these tax lists? How are they arranged? How easily readable are they? What kind of information do they have? Are they available at the Massachusetts state archives? I'm looking for information about the record set before I invest the time. William D Romanski Rhode Island Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I wondered about that one but not uncommon for Walter H. to be a variation of Wallace H. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. The MA record lists her parents names as Edward and Hannah(Chapel) Colton, so Colton is likely her maiden name, and Brown the surname of her first husband. It appears that they were married in Plymouth, ME, but since Wallace was a resident of Somerville, it was also recorded in MA. I'm guessing this is my great, great, great grand father. From what I understand he was a whaler who had two children with a woman named Assisauna. You can do more research at this website about the family he had in Alaska. http://www.angelfire.com/ak5/selepack/Inupiat/b70.html#P2807. In fact, it appears that nobody at that, nor neighboring addresses, was. Did you happen to notice John Ryan and wife Clara at the same Columbus Ave address in 1940? A couple of lines below Frank... It would seem that something happened 1922/1923. Some directories list deaths in a separate section, but I did not find one in 1923 Boston, although looking online is not always easy. Sorry I couldn't help. Good luck. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. The census said he was at the same location in 1935. I also found him in the Boston City Directory in 1921 and 1922. I could not find his wife at the address. I have the three children living together in the 1930 census. The daughter was married and her husband was in the Navy. I find her in the 1940 census in New York. On Frank's WWII Draft Registration it has John J Ryan (son) as the point of contact. John was living in Charlestown at the time. Frank was on Columbus Avenue. I have not been able to identify if the two sons were married. Paul Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have her in the 1920 census but lose track of her at that point. Here's the info I have: Birth Record: Ellen Minehan 28 Aug 1885 in Beverly, MA Parents: John Moynihan and Johanna Quinn Marriage Record: Nellie Mary Moynihan to Frank John Ryan on 9 Sept 1906 Three children: Francis born 1906, John born 1907 and Catherine born 1911. Nellie and Frank were married in Beverly where she was born. They moved to Hyde Park (where Frank was born) and were there (Garfield Ave) in the 1910 census. In the 1920 census Nellie and Frank were still in Hyde Park living on Winthrop Street. This is where I lose track of her. Frank died in 1952 and on his death certificate it says that he was widowed and had been the husband of Helen Moynihan. I've spent countless hours online as well as time in the State Archives and Vital Records but cannot find a death certificate for Nellie, Helen or Ellen Moynihan Ryan. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Paul Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
