She is having severe memory problems, but we have other relatives there. The Minery family, Crittendon family, Crandall family -- there are others. It is nice to 'meet' someone from my family -- I hope we can help one another. The Dearings inter-married with many families in Otis/E. Otis because grandma had so many children. Have you been to the cemeteries in Otis or E. Otis? I am about a half our or so from Otis, but can take some pictures for you when the weather getting better. The E. Otis cemetery is hard to get to, as it is now located on an old dirt road and access is bad. When we buried Clark King Dearing last year (my uncle - I did the funeral in Westfield), we had to park on the road in from of the little church and walk in. My mother was Norma Agnes Perry (she passed away on March 3 this year). Her mother was Melvina Elizabeth Dearing. My grandmother (mother's mother) was married to Napoleon Perry and had my mother, my uncle Bill, and my aunt Marion. Grandma later married Mr. Dearing and had aunt Barbara, aunt Betty, aunt Alice, aunt Emma, aunt June, aunt Flo, uncle Frank, uncle Joe, and uncle Clark. She was married to Clark King Dearning, had a son Clark King Dearing, and her son also had a child named Clark King Dearing. I have just started researching my mom's (and my dad's) families. I would be researching (for my mom's side) her father, Napoleon Perry, and her mother Melvina Dearing. I believe you are researching Clark Dearing's (my step-grandfather's) side. That may be where I don't have your wife's grandmother listed -- or, I can be missing something. I hope we can help each other. I do want to research my step-grandf! ather's side too, as that is the family I grew up with. THANK YOU! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I looked in the roster for the franco American orphanage, she is not listed this seems like a very small place. 3 adult women, and 15 children.
