If the LDS record extraction program had found a town record, one of those entries would say "Extracted birth or christening record for the locality listed in the record" as some entries do for the Abijah Reed born in Abington in 1776. The town's vital records have been published - Thomas W. Baldwin, "Vital Records of Uxbridge Massachusetts, to the Year 1850" (Boston: 1916). Neither birth is in that volume, and so is not in the NEHGS vital records database, which was created from the published VR volumes for the towns and cities. Dale H. Author: amich2 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.massachusetts.unknown/6889.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: The info is from the state's typed copied of marriage records received from the city. It is an image of a page containing several marriages. The image doesn't save very well as a whole. If I save the whole page, the lettering is too blurry to read. I would have to send the record in pieces. I can't access you're e-mail address through the boards, as it is annonymous, so would need to know where to send it. An actual certificate could be ordered from Mass. Archives for $3. It would contain the same info I gave you though. http://www.sec.state.ma.us/arc/arcres/residx.htm#duplicate I realized the marriage was recorded in both Boston & Brookline, but the info seems the same for both. I have no doubt that they are my GP`s, but there seems to be some errors. Did these details come from an image of the marriage cert or was it from a line item list of marriages for July and August of 1903? If it was from an image, could you send it to me? My ggg-grandparents moved there from Wheeling, WV in 1836. Their names were Joseph Morrison b. 1788, VA/WV and Theda (Thiddy) Porter Morrison b. 1798, MA. I have old family records on their eight known children. I believe some additional children died in the first few years of their marriage. Their first born child was my gg-grandmother, Elizabeth Jane Morrison b. 1828 and m. 1847, Gurnsey Co., Hugh Marsh. The Porter name was frequently given as a middle name, and the name Theda was passed down also. Some surnames in early Gurnsey county were: Davis (two Davis brothers m. 1. [GENMASSACHUSETTS] Martin SAUNDERS of Braintree (d. 1658)
    2. Does anyone have a transcription of the will of Martin SAUNDERS of Braintree, MA, dated July 5, 1658? I am aware of the agreement amongst the heirs published in The New England Historical and Genealogical Register in 1856, but I would like to have a transcription of the will itself. This will was contested by the heirs, and I would like to see the differences between the original will and the agreement finally reached by the heirs. Regards, Margaret

    1. [GENMASSACHUSETTS] FROST ancestors back in 1500's England
    2. Betty
    3. Hi again, I just went back to the archives of the FROST Message Board at www.genforum.com and found a lot of good information. I just posted a "brief summary" of what I found, and I'd like to copy/paste my posting here - for your comments. See below. I don't have time this morning to go check the archives of the FROST List and Board here to see if it pretty much agrees with this. Betty (near Lowell, MA) FYI from www.genforum.com Hi again. I just did a search on this Board for "Thomasine" and found a lot of information. And was glad to see it. I'd like to post a brief summary of 2 postings, in regards to the earliest FROST ancestors known: (l) John FROST (Rev.), b1539/40 in Stanistead, Sudbury, Suffolk, England married Ellen (unknown) and then Ann SCOTT. John and Ann had 14? children, including son, Edward, b1560/61. This son, Edward, married, Mary (unknown) and then Thomasine BELGRAVE in 1585. They had a daughter, Thomasine FROST, b1600, and she was the one who married the patriarch, Edmund RICE. (my ancestors) (2) James FROST (Rev.) in Suffolk, England (born maybe 1570's?). Then, Edmund FROST, b1593, Ipswich, Essex, Suffolk, England, died in Cambridge, MA. In 1585 he married Thomasina (unknown) (2 more wives). (This page is confusing.) I think it says this Edmund FROST married in Cambridge, MA, to Thomasine / Thomasina CLENCH (~1630). Edmund and Thomasine FROST had 8 children, including Ephraim who married Hepzabah PRATT. (my ancestors) SO, we have 2 FROST families in County Suffolk, England. And, we have an Edward FROST (son of Rev. John), b1560/61. And, then we have Edmund FROST, b1593 (son of Rev. James). So the 2 ancestors known are Rev. John FROST, born ~1540 and the Rev. James FROST, born maybe 1570's. IF researchers went back to find Rev. James' father, would he be related to Rev. John? That's all I can concentrate on this morning. (Additional note: As I said before, a descendant of Edmund RICE and Thomasine FROST was my gr-gr-grandfather, Charles RICE, b1850 Maine. Charles came down to MA ~1870 and married to Adelaide Crosby HUTCHINSON. Adelaide was a descendant of Ephraim FROST and Hepzabah PRATT. So, for the moment, I'm not finding a connection between the 2 FROST families on my family-tree. BUT, there could be a connection ~1550 in Co. Suffolk, England.)

    1. [GENMASSACHUSETTS] Edmund RICE, Edmund FROST, Thomasine's ...
    2. Betty
    3. Hello, Someone got me looking at my RICE ancestors over the weekend, and the more I look at the patriarch's family, and look on-line for more information, the more confused I get. :o( To start with, I'm told my RICE line is: Edmund RICE and Thomasine FROST Joseph RICE and Mary BEERS Joseph RICE and Mercy KERLEY Jesse RICE and Beulah (unknown) Ashabel / Ashbel RICE and Percissa / Persis KNIGHT Daniel V. RICE and Lucy McDANIEL / McDONALD Charles W. RICE and Adelaide Crosby HUTCHINSON And then from the HUTCHINSON's I believe I am descended from: Edmund FROST and Thomasine CLENCH /E Ephraim FROST and Hepzabah PRATT Ephraim FROST and Sarah COOPER Samuel FROST and Abigail CUTTER Sarah FROST and John HUTCHINSON Thomas HUTCHINSON and Elizabeth HOMER Jacob Homer HUTCHINSON and Eliza CROSBY Adelaide Crosby HUTCHINSON IF I'm summarizing what I'm finding in on-line web sites correctly, the wife of Edmund FROST was Thomasine, the daughter of Robert CLENCH and Joan WEBBE. And, the wife of Edmund RICE was Thomasine, the daughter of Edward FROST and Thomasine BELGRAVE. This is good information from the archives of a posting on the FROST List: http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/FROST/2004-04/1082573458 ... It looks like I have to go back a few generations to see a connection between Edmund FROST and Edward FROST. Betty (near Lowell, MA) Remember to check the archives of all the Lists and Boards for your surnames and place-names. And, please remember to check the on-line auctions for for your surnames and place-names. Interested in: New-England-Memories List ?

I've seen the naturalization petition of my great-aunt's husband in 1911, but can't find one for her. I so want to believe these are my great grandparents but how can I be certain? We never knew them to spell their last name Erickson- it has always been Eriksen. I have information that Jennie Hagman's parents were Carl Otto Hagman and Christina. The marriage date could be close and Jennie's age is correct. She was born in 1868. Harry was born in 1871. In looking at names in Ancestry I see there are so many Harry Eriksens, Erickson and even many ladies with the name Jennie Hagman. I did not see find them in the 1900 census. Harry died in 1944 and she died in 1923. Is there a chance you could find a death record or obit on them. Any records at all. I appreciate any further assistance you can add.
