I've been working on my genealogy off and on for the last 20 years. Until recently, I was unable to find any information on my fathers side of the family. I now know that his grandfather/mother were born in Ireland (I have exact dates) prior to 1865. My question is - what are my chances of finding anything? From my initial search of what records there are would indicate that I might have a lot of trouble.
