Could anyone give me a start on the Linden family from Co Down.My Gt,Gt,Gt,Grandfather James Linden was born there in 1814,but we dont know where.His Father also James Linden was born in Co Down and married Mary Fairfield.He died in Ireland aged 41.My Gt,Gt,Gt,Grandfather moved to Colmonell in Ayrshire,Scotland around 1826 and his Mother Mary Fairfield moved there later and married a William Aitken who also originated from Co Down.There appears to have been a lot of people in Ayrshire that moved from Co Down.Sorry if this seems a bit vague but its all we have to go on.any help would be greatly appreciated.P.S.our surname is Linden not McAlinden or any variant as far as know.Thanks.John Linden.
