    3. Hi There, Its probably what they call the night of the big wind in Jan 1839. Northern Ireland, The West and Midlands bore the brunt of the hurricane. Approx 250-300 people lost their lives which wasn't a lot when you consider the Storm's ferocity, and most of these deaths were at sea.
