Hi to other newsgroup users, I have just been given a piece of paper with my husband's grandmother's place of birth as Iniscilan. Do you think, well anyone who is familiar with Ireland, that it might be Enniskillen or would there be a place 'Iniscilan'. It sounds the same by my pronunciation but it may be different with the correct pronunciation. I had her listed as being born in Drumkerin Fermanagh North Ireland (this is what was on the shipping manifest), so now I am very puzzled. Drumkeeran used to be (about 15 miles at a guess) North of Fermanagh, just above Kesh on the map. Possibly born in Enniskillen and moved north when married . Wouldn't one of your husbands parents know where his or her mother was born ? Sorry I can't be of more help. Mary
