Fee to search the indexes over 5 year period increases slightly by 10cent to 2euro. Fee per photocopy where the relevant index reference numbers are supplied by the applicant more than double to 4euro. And more.... See: http://www.groireland.ie/fees.htm The service itself has not been upgraded to match the fees. Brian

I received three certificates which were the wrong family even though I had put the fathers name. I phoned (from Canada) to explain the problem. The lady wasn't at her desk, but called me back to tell me that I needed the mother's maiden name, which I had but with 5 different spellings. The lady said that if I returned the incorrect certificates she would search all the birth and death records looking for the right parents and subsequently sent me certificates for names I didn't even have. And she phoned me a second time to confirm what she had done. (Perhaps that's why the fees have gone up :-).) However, I'm glad I ordered the photocopies when I did so I only paid the lower fee, but the service was great. Malvary in Ottawa
