Hi & Happy Christmas to all, I am Irish and in tracing my ancestors in Ireland have recently traced one family who emigrated to US in 1851, so I am trying to trace what happened to them in the USA. This is the reverse of the usual process of US residents trying to trace their Irish roots. I have no experience of US records, but have tried Ancestry.com and found NY census records showing some of the Anne Garry family still living together in 1860 & 1870, but after that a dead end. Has anyone any advice on sources for this type of research? John
