Presented with the few facts you give, I would suggest tracing cousins - look for where mermbers of the family were at every possible time (1880 onwards), and see what you can determine about the people they were with, hoping for a reference to a relationship. In any case, for a brick wall, I would give a lot more information (dates and place of death, whether daughter married, any other children, and other moves, etc, etc.) It might also help to put the details of the nuclear family on a free webpage (eg http://accounts.rootsweb.ancestry.com/index.cgi?op=show&page=freagree.htm) with a picture (to avoid spam) of your email address, giving what you know (don't bring it forward to the living). I have done this twice - one was "answered" after 4 years, the other after 8 years.
