Photocopy is not a new service. However, it is little known. Mail or fax the completed request to the address indicated on the form. You may also obtain a paper copy of the document from your local family history center or local Church distribution center using item number 31768. To obtain photocopies of a few pages from a book or a few frames of microfilm or microfiche, please use the appropriate Request for Photocopies form available on this site. Copies cost U.S.$2.00 each, with a U.S.$4.00 minimum charge. Please follow the instructions found on the form. But my question relates to what can be obtained by printing off a search result on the pilot BMD section at FHLC compared to getting a photocopy/certificate from the GRO in Ireland. In terms of a Dublin death registration the latter will provide details of who registered the death, which often tells you their relationship with the deceased. The former does not. From the earlier postings it looked like the writer was referring to some new service at the FHLC which could provide certificates/photocopies of certificates, not just results of the pilot BMD search. At least that's clarified.
