The lack of storage space at the National Archives of Ireland (NAI) has reached crisis level. Increments for this year - and several years back -are now having to be shelved in the inadequate warehouse facility - behind the main Archives building in Dublin's Bishop Street - where they remain inaccessible. Well known professional genealogist Paul Gorry and former President of the Association of Professional Genealogists in Ireland (APGI) has written to The Irish Times setting out what needs to be done to secure the future of this unique national institution.
