It's the alt. heirachy groups that aren't always carried.
Please help me - what are the names of genealogy groups for the UK? No, I am not totally stupid! I am away from home, that's all. The system I am on may not have the groups I have at home! Gerry

Then you'd better get started. It takes a lot of time and effort to research your family. I've been working on my family tree for over 30 years and still going. Folks on-line are always willing to help out but they aren't going to do the work for you. So start by interviewing your own family members and with all that information you start working your way back....generation after generation.
Is there a point here??? Jim Heraldic Authority Established President, Ilham Aliyev, of the former Soviet Republic of Azerbaijan signed a decree establishing a Heraldic Council to prepare and implement state heraldic policy according to reports from the state capital of Baku. Presumably this will include the granting of Arms by the Republic. The governance of the Heraldic Council and State Register of Heraldry will be approved when the Azerbaijani Cabinet submits legislation to parliament in accordance with the Presidential Decree. Mr. Ramiz Mehdiyev, was appointed the head of the Heraldic Council with Mr. Mahmud Karimov, President, National Academy of Sciences as his deputy. The new Heraldic Council includes the Culture and Tourism Minister, as well as some Azeri public and culture figures. ----- Original Message ----- From: GSI.Secretary@familyhistory.ie To: GENIRE-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, February 14, 2006 10:04 AM Subject: Ireland's Genealogical Gazette A Chairde, The February 2006 issue of the monthly newsletter of the Genealogical Society of Ireland - "Ireland's Genealogical Gazette" is now uploaded to the Society's website www.familyhistory.ie Featured in this issue: + Heraldic Authority Established

What subrace of "white" are you? When you tell people what car you have got do you tell them "A white one"? No? Well that's how we describe people! Did you know we have changed little physiologically for thousands of years, but the races of Europe can be seperated into subraces such as: Irish Brunn (John Wayne)? Borreby (Marilyn Monroe, Robert Wagner)? Keltic-Nordic (Tony Blair, Lix Hurley)? Falish (Arnold Schwarzenegger, Val Kilmer)? Paleo-Atlantid (Sean Connery, Catherine Zeta-Jones, George Harrison)? From The Cork Examiner, 7 June 1879 - BOARD OF TRADE ENQUIRY. A Board of Trade inquiry was concluded at Belfast yesterday, into the stranding of the screw steamer Augusta, of Newcastle, Captain Baker, at Burial Island, county Down, on the 17th of May. The steamer left Glasgow for Venice with coal on the 16th, and struck shortly after midnight, but was floated off at 6 o'clock the same morning and proceeded to Belfast for repairs. The judge. Mr. O'Donnell, R.M., who was assisted by Captain Holt and Captain Castles, nautical assessors, severely censured the captain for not taking the lead after sighting Copelards, but returned his certificate owing to his previous good character and successful seamanship. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Dennis Ahern | Immigrant Ships Transcribers Guild, Irish Maritime News Acton, Mass. | http://immigrantships.net/newsarticles/newsarticles.html - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I would say that like all transcription from original documents are subject to error, misinterpretation etc and depending on who is transcribing. I have the first digitised index produced by 'broderbund' in the 1990's and I have also used 'origin net' but I have not really tested one against the other and my subscription to origin net is now closed. What name and location are you researching, I can look at my CD and see if it matches what you know. Mike.

Hello. The marriage of Richard Stotesbury is as follows [see below] and I have also included any Stotesbury and Ladley that are listed in the Griffiths Valuation Index of Ireland (1848-1864). The most logical assumption is that Dublin and Meath are the counties for further research. Although the Valuation Index does not list a Robert Stotesbury or a George Ladley as head of any household, this may mean that either were not the head of a household (living with siblings etc) or both were deceased by the time of the commencement of the valuation in 1848. I would suggest that the births (below) to George Sotesbury indicates that this george is a sibling or cousin to your Richard. Good luck. Mike. STOTESBURY Head M Male 42 Ireland Commercial Traveller Ellenor STOTESBURY Wife M Female 35 Ireland Robert STOTESBURY Son U Male 18 Ireland Clerk The rest of the children were born in England. With nothing more than the above to go on, is there any way of finding out where Richard was born and when/where he married?
