    3. There is a post script at the bottom of this story BURNT TO A CRISP IN CYBERLAND. Dec, 1999 Back in July and August of 1999, I sent some of my stories about babysitting my grandchildren, some of the funny things that have happened to my family and just general havoc and tragedies to the GEN-HUMOR list. (humorous stories, At least I thought so) After a few postings, I received a lot of private e-mail from people who said they enjoyed reading about my humorous adventures. Then I got a note from the list lady of the Gen-Humor list and she said some people were complaining about my stories and I should clean them up so the small children that read the list wouldn't be offended. I thought O.K. I can do that I guess. Then some people wrote into the list, flaming me, and this went on for a week or so, while I could do nothing except sit here and read what they said about me, like: "quit sending this crap to me", "This isn't a list for Fred Flintstone repeats", One lady said "She is a fragmented person trying to make herself whole" and one said "I am tired of using my delete key to dump your stories then have to use it again to delete from my trash". And don't forget this priceless one, "We don't need you airing your family history on the unsuspecting public". and "You think this is funny? I for one don't" There were some others, but you get the drift. Christ, it's only a story, not a book! Well as you know, by now I was feeling pretty degraded by being flamed over the internet, with quite a few people reading this stuff, I was afraid to open any post that said "Dianne's stories" Maybe it has helped me, and I can go back and clean up the stories to make them suitable for every anal retentive, pinched faced person to read. Or I can say the hell with them, it's my story and I shall report anyway I like. I don't know these people and have never heard of an "E-MAIL STALKER" Maybe they find out your address and phone number from somewhere on the net and harass you by phone or send you private e-mail death threats. Boy looks like I'm off on another good story. See there was a good side to it. I will write a story on " HOW I WAS FLAMED AND DEGRADED ON THE GEN-HUMOR LIST" OR "LIST POSTER HUNG OUT TO DRY" OR " BURNING AT THE STAKE IS STILL ALIVE IN CYBERLAND" or "FRAGMENTED SOUL TRIES TO MAKE HERSELF WHOLE" Anyway, Only those who ask shall receive from now on. I don't post anything on any list now, this was my first time for being the object of a flame war, and I didn't like it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is now 2008 and people from the list wanted me to send them my stories privately and now I have over 100 people who get my stories as I write them. People from Austrralia, Canada, England and Japan. Even all my grandkids teachers love getting them. One day I wrote as story about a happenening at school where a little girl ran away and hid from the teachers. I sent it out to my teachers and everyone was laughing about it, and a couple of teachers who didn't get my stories ask what was going on, they felt out of the loop, so now I have 6 more people at the school on my list... Everyone thinks I should make a book of them, maybe I will. Maybe I should just stick to my 100 people and forget the lists. I know a lot of my stories are not funny for everyone, but I try to write stories that relate to every day life that we all have been through, only I try to make it humorous. Every time I post anything I get flammed!
