    1. [GENEALOGY-LOOKUP] DAVIDSON Obituary
    2. I'm trying to locate an obituary for my ggrandfather William Bell(e) Davidson. He died in July of 1906. At the time, he was the druggist and land-owner in Tamaha, I.T. (now Oklahoma). He was registered as a druggist in the State of AR. We don't know of what he died or where. He was also a founding and active member of his Masonic Lodge, a former postmaster, and a notary public, which leads me to believe there should be a substantial obituary somewhere. Tamaha was/is in Haskell County, OK. At the time of his death, he was married to Mary Catherine Freed Davidson and they had one son Ben Freed Davidson, who was born in Ratcliff, Arkansas, in January of 1891. The earliest confirmed bit of information I have on him was his marriage to Mary on October 31, 1889, in Ft. Smith, AR, (which is down and across the river from Tamaha on the Arkansas River). Mary was born and raised in Findley, OH. Ben eventually married Lela Turner (1910) and they had five children, of which my father Edsel was the second oldest. There are still 3 living children who have had tons of kids, grandkids, and ggrandkids, too. William's birthdate is listed as February 11, 1854, and we think he was from Glasgow (not sure), but we're sure he was from Scotland. He, Mary and Ben are buried in Tamaha, OK,'s cemetery. Family rumor has it, he immigrated to the US with a cousin/brother in about 1870. Since there's so much time between his immigration date and his marriage to Mary, he could possibly have had another family. Would appreciate any help provided.
