I am looking for info on my Great Grand-Father & his family. Lucien N. Parrish was born in VA Dec. of 1873. He married Nannie J. Parrish in Philadelphia, PA in August 1900. I have seen Lucien on the census records in Philadelphia from 1900-1930. He was a Porter for the Pennsylvania Rail Road. Lucien & Nannie had two sons Lucien Jr. born in Philly 1905 & Robert born in Philly 1912. I am unable to find Lucien Sr. prior to 1900. I don't know where in VA he was from & I don't know who his parents or siblings are. I have not been able to find any of the above family members on the Social Security Death Index. I would love to be in touch with anyone who may have known of this family. Oral history tells me that Lucien Sr. had a trucking business at one time, which I have not been able to find info on. Lucien Jr. worked for the Postal Service in Philly & Robert was once a Mortician's helper. Any suggestions or insights would be welcomed.
