I'm hoping someone has directories for the Batavia, Genessee, New York area for any of the years from 1834-1845. I have a Sampson CUMMINGS who supposedly lived in that area during some of that time. At least one of his children was supposedly born there, about 1840-1841. He changed his name to Thomas Clarkson CUMMINGS in 1848, but it's always possible that he went by that name before then. Can anyone find this man in any directories for me? I'd love to narrow down when he actually lived there.
