Steve was born in Sotin, Yugoslavia on 6 Dec 1886. His wife, Mary was born in Sotin on 20 Oct 1886 and they married there on 5 Jun 1905. Mary, aka Maria, left Liverpool on the ship Mauretania and arrived in NY on 29 Jun 1912. On 8 May 1938, Steve said he was 51, was a cement block maker and lived at 894 Shannon Ave. in Barberton. He was a white male with a fair complexion, blue eyes, brown hair, 5' 9" tall and weighed 145 pounds. His only visible mark was a scar on his chin. He said he had seven children. The 3 oldest were born in Yugoslavia and the 4 youngest were born in Barberton: Elizabeth b 16 Aug 1905, Steve b 16 Nov 1907, Mary b 1 Feb 1910, Antony b 4 Jun 1913, Matthew b 7 Sep 1915, Adam b 9 Oct 1917 and Eva b 7 Oct 1900. The '1900' is a type; it should have been 1920. All of his children lived in Barberton except Mary who lived in Nat. Wood, Ohio.
