I think I found Thomas in the 1870 census, Fairview, Jones Co.,Iowa It is indexed as Thomas McCarrey age 27 Ohio, Harrie age 27 Ohio, Wilson age 3 Iowa. Looking at the census page, it does look like it is Maria not Harrie. In one census record, 1910 maybe, it is indexed as Ezra's father as born Minnesota, but looking at the census page it looks to me that it says both his parents born United States.
