He was in the Cavalry during WWI. He was thrown from a horse at Fort Sill, OK and died of spinal meningitis. His body was shipped to Kings County, Brooklyn, NY where he was buried at Cypress Hills Cemetery with a military funeral. The family (nine siblings, parents & others) marched down the street to the cemetery. The family lived at 305 Eldert St. at that time, if that's any help in searching. I've tried searching for an obituary with no luck. I'm wondering if there might have been a story in the paper regarding this as well. I'm hoping some kind soul can find some info for me.
