    3. GENEALOGY WORKSHOP: GENEALOGY TIMELINES - 9 p.m. EST with Guest Speaker Kitty_in_the_grass. This workshop event will be held in the main room. Stuck on a dead end on that elusive ancestor that seems to keep just one step ahead of your research? Kitty_in_the_Grass will discuss how to do a Timeline, or as some like to call them Biographical Outline, that may be able to help. She will discuss the purpose of a timeline, the importance of putting one together and what items should be placed in one as information becomes available. She will also discuss how to start to record a timeline and what the making of a timeline might reveal in our search for our ancestors. Finally in the remaining time she will try to answer questions about timelines and a hold a general discussion about putting one together. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~genealogylookup/chatroom.html ********************* During each event, the Host/Guest Speaker will present their topic to everyone, then they will open the room up for question & answer discussions. Below is a couple simple rules during the workshop to make sure everything flows smoothly. 1. Please hold off on idle chatting during each presentation until the Host/Guest Speaker is finished. They will then have an open question and answer discussion. 2. Once the presentation is over and the host/guest speaker will ask if there are any questions. Chatters should put a double "??" into the room so that the host/guest speaker will know that you have a question. One of the chat room hosts will writing down on a piece of paper of those who have a question to ask. The Host will let each chatter know when it is their turn to ask their question. This will help make sure that everything will flow smoothly during each event during the workshop. 3. Please do not ask your question until the chat host monitor lets you know it is your turn to ask. This will help to make sure there is no confusion in the room during each event. I hope to see several of you attend the Genealogy Workshop events the next couple weeks. Be sure to post yourself a reminder on each event you wish to attend. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~genealogylookup/genealogyworkshop.html Please do tell your genealogy friends or cuzzies about the Genealogy Workshop.
