    2. Phyllis Garner
    3. Just passing on the information on the 2009 NGS Family History Conference. If you have any specific questions please contact me off list so I do not make the list owner mad at me for off topic messages. This is not on a single surname, but on how and where to research. This year the conference is to be held in Raleigh NC **** The registration deadline for the early-bird lower conference rate for the NGS Family History Conference in Raleigh, North Carolina is approaching! Make your conference registrations by Tuesday 31 March 2009 to save $35! The NGS Family History Conference is scheduled for May 13-16 2009 at the Raleigh Convention Center. Over 150 educational sessions and workshops, luncheons and social events. Everything for the complete beginner through to the most experienced genealogist. If you are planning to attend let me know and I will tell you where I am staying and maybe we can set up a lunch or something like that to meet in person. These conferences (while a little on the pricey side) are fun and you really can learn a lot. I have been to 4 over the years and met a lot of great folks and hopefully learned or taught some great genealogy tips along the way. Each year they are in a different part of the country so check the site to see where its to be in the years to come if its too far to attend this year. Full conference information can be found at <http://mail.ngsgenealogy.org/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://www.ngsgenealogy.org/>www.ngsgenealogy.org. 3. Diane, Not all death [or any] records have certificates, look to the left of the name and if there is a "document symbol"--click on it. You can then view the original document, enlarge it , copy it etc. This is really a neat site where you can break a large selection of records down right to the 1st letter of the given name if you don't want to scroll thru a lot of records. Good luck Dave Rinsem Rochester, NY Diane Graham wrote: > I guess it's time for me to admit that I cannot find the death certs > etc on the Pilot FamilySearch . > > Somehow, I cannot come up with any combination that will take me there. > > > Can SKS please guide me through it with tiny baby steps please?
