I am hoping to find where specifically this Richard was born. If I can pin it down to any town close to Hermelsdorf or find some document showing August as his father (or something showing Richard as August's son) I would be ecstatic. If I can find this one connection I can trace my husband's family line of Umland's back to 1695. FYI... this Richard Umland immigrated in 1868 and settled in western Minnesota.
