The book states: "Curtis, Curtiss, Nancy, of Berlin, m. Leonard Smith, of Wayne, N. Y., Aug. 4, 1833, by Rev. Royal Robbins.....Vol 1 page 52" This is found in the second volume of Barbours Collections, in the Berlin section (page 82). It is also found on page 130 under the surname Smith (with Leonard's name listed first, of course). For the source, the Vol. 1 Page 52 is where the record would be found in the town clerks office.

The index indicates that the marriage was officiated by Rev Royal Robbins. I'm hoping that the actual page will list the parents of Nancy and Leonard. Leonard's full name is Leonard Everett Smith he was born in 1813 [we believe in Ct]. Nancy Curtis was born in Ct on Oct 21, 1813. Any info would be appreciated as my research has dead ended with them.

I live near Island County - in Snohomish County, WA. The Everett Herald, in Everett, WA, is perhaps the paper you might look for an obituary as well as the Seattle Times, located in Seattle, WA. Also, the Anacortes American in Skagit County might have run an obituary as the Island county newspapers would probably be small locals - not to say that they would not run one, but it might also have been put in a larger newspaper. I tried finding it but had no luck finding old obituaries. The Everett Public Library in Everett, WA apparently has old copies of the Everett Herald and they might be helpful.
